Jackson Township Fire & Rescue wants to make sure its residents are protected with smoke detectors. If you do not have one please call the firehouse, 625-1333 to make an appointment to pick up a free smoke detector. Please leave a message with your return phone number if no one is available. Your call will be returned as soon as possible.
The detectors we are providing are furnished by the American Red Cross and will come with batteries. There is a short form which you will be required to complete and sign, but there are no charges for the detector. There are a limited number of free detectors available, so hurry and claim yours before they are gone!

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING OPEN BURNING PERMITS:
The fire department is NO LONGER issuing burning permits. With the new E.P.A. Regulations you will need to apply for an open burning permit at the Hamilton County Department of Enviromental Services (HCDOES) ( for more information go to: http://www.hcdoes.org/airquality/webpages/Openburn.htm ).
The open burning permit must receive approval from your local fire department before HCDOES will review it. Make sure that you observe their requirements. If you do burn without a permit from them and we get dispatched, we may need to extinguish the fire. It is UNLAWFUL to burn garbage in the State of Ohio.
