Jackson Township, located in Clermont County, Ohio, was formed in June of 1834 from parts of Stonelick, Wayne and Williamsburg townships and named in honor of then current president of the United States, Andrew Jackson.


Modern day Jackson Township is a predominately agricultural and rural community with an approximate population of 2700 residents.  

 

 

            

 The primary highways serving the Township are all state routes and maintained by the State of Ohio’s Department of Transportation. State Route 133 runs north to south through the Township and provides access to State Route 32 in the south and State Route 131 in the north. State Route 276 runs along the southwest border of the Township and U.S. Highway 50 runs east to west through the center of the Township, providing access to I-275 in the west and Brown County in the east. The Township owns and maintains a little over 21 miles of local roadways.

Jackson Township Trustees

 

 

The Jackson Township Board of Trustees meet each month on the First and Third Mondays at 7:30 P.M.  Meetings are held at the Jackson Township Community Center located at 3263 U.S. Route 50, Williamsburg, OH 45176.

 

Current Trustees are: ; Paul Werring, Chair; Joe Speeg Vice-Chair, and Hal Herron.

 

Fiscal Officer: Harold Herron 

 

All meetings are open for public participation.



    Jackson Township  Zoning Commission 

 

 

The  Zoning Commission meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 P.M.  All meetings are held at the Jackson Township Community Center located at  3263 U.S. Route 50, Williamsburg, OH 45176.

 

Current Commission members are: Dennis Conger, Chairperson; Judy Squire, Vice-Chair;  Betsy Hite; Sharman Privett; and Beth Wiederhold. First Alternate: Eric Durbin. Second Alternate: Currently Vacant.

 

All meetings are open for public attendance.

 

Jackson Township Board of Zoning Appeals

 

The Board of Zoning Appeals currently meets only when an appeals application is received by the zoning administrator.  Hearings are usually held  at the Jackson Township Community Center and are scheduled for different nights on a per case basis.

 

Current Board of Zoning Appeals members are: William Wiederhold, Chairperson; Jeannie Zurmehly, vice-chair; Robert Glover; Charles Pierce and Raymond Stetson. First Alternate: Gigi Dales; Second Alternate: Vacant
